Cuando alguien está enamorado se siente morir si le falta esa persona, o sufre solo por la posibilidad del fin de esa relación. una mala experiencia. Es muy jodido y sé que siempre se sobrevive cuando se pone fin a una historia sentimental, pero se sale muy machacado de la experiencia. Así es como me he despedido siempre, nunca me he arrodillado ni he suplicado..para qué, tengo mi orgullo y si ellos quisieran se quedarían conmigo y no haría falta rebajarse, así que ¿para qué perder el tiempo?...aunque a veces a los ojos de la otra persona parece que ames menos. Carly Simon siempre me ha encantado y ésta es, de las suyas, mi canción preferida. La letra habla sobre un tipo arrogante que conoció y del cual se separó. Me gusta cuando dice "tuve sueños, eran nubes en mi café". Es triste mirar al pasado y recordar decepciones. Por suerte y gracias a mi "semiamnesia" no recuerdo a ningún tipo arrogante como el descrito en la canción, afortunadamente. Y si lo conocí, me debí de reir en su cara rápidamente, porque no soporto a los tipos creídos.

This old skin

Beautiful South fue un grupo que surgió de las cenizas de "The Housemartins" (un grupo que me acompañó alegremente en los ochenta) y que después de nueve años también acabó separándose. Siempre manteniendo su musicalidad y su sentido del humor, se dedicaron a hacer versiones de canciones compaginando con sus propias composiciones. Paul Heaton siguió como leader vocal y se añadió voz femenina a la nueva banda.

"This old skin" es una de sus creaciones (aquí vestidos con el look de los 70 y haciendo el burro, para no variar xD) Espero que os guste.

Esta canción es muy alegre y siempre me ha puesto contenta cuando la escucho. Energía positiva a mil. Me dan ganas de bailar. Creo que iré poniendo canciones alegres en este blog. Esta es una de ellas.

Live earth

Hoy empiezan los conciertos del "Live earth", evento que se ha organizado en varios países (España no se incluye) para ayudar a fomentar un cambio de hábitos en el consumo para solucionar el cambio climático. Se trata de concienciar mediante radio, TV etc y difundir medidas para que la gente en general consuma de forma responsable y ahorre en energía, contaminando lo menos posible.

Madonna ha hecho un vídeo con una canción cantada por ella, "Hey you", que impacta mucho si lo ves desde el principio hasta el final. La canción no es gran cosa, parece más bien que quiera ser una marcha o una especie de himno oficial para que la gran masa lo cante y se movilice xD Pero el vídeo dice mucho acerca de como yo misma concibo este mundo: Un verdadero caos organizado por la humanidad, con cosas muy buenas pero también muchos, muchos errores catastróficos.
A mí me dejó pensativa.

Holiday- Scorpions- y las autoversiones

Esta canción está bien, rumberilla rumberilla xD La verdad es que si oyes esta dices, vale, guay...pero si oyes la otra versión es más genuína. Es una versión de...ellos mismos en versión rock. ¿Cómo es posible que haya grupos que se versionen a sí mismos en un estilo muy distinto al que tienen por costumbre? No lo entiendo, pero demuestra que son capaces de abrir su mente a otras cosas y son músicos de verdad.

Aquí la otra versión, en un concierto en vivo. Hay que esperar a que acabe de hablar uno de ellos y luego sale el concierto. Creo que es más intensa la original.



Por cierto...que como dice el título de la canción, este blog está de vacaciones hasta que me de por volver.
